A LEADING security company based in North Shields has become the first in the region to install a new groundbreaking database system, exclusive to Tyne and Wear.
CCTV and security specialists, 2020 Vision has spent £20,000 on the new ‘CASH for Windows’ facility which will enhance the company ethos - ‘brilliance is our benchmark’. The investment means that the company’s staff and customers are able to benefit from ‘cradle to grave’ information on installations.
This will speed response times and create more efficient maintenance cycles. The system has been specifically designed for the security industry and will act as a vital business tool for providing detailed structured services to customers and their needs.
2020 Vision general manager Peter Hargate said: “To be the first in the region to have this system is an exciting time for the company. CASH has a wide range of high-tech functions to provide a database for customers and our products, we have also invested in a variety of new equipment to support and enhance its operation.”
The facility will control all business activities in two main parts, installation and, service and maintenance. All engineers at the company have been provided with personal digital assistant (PDA) mobile devices, which are linked to 2020’s call centre via the database, to improve the efficiency of engineer call-outs and enhance communication between the company and its customers.
The eco-aware company felt that CASH was an environmentally-friendly choice of system as it will make more efficient use of transport, increasing ecological advantages. It is hoped that CASH will reduce paperwork, as all information can be inputted into the system that will run in ‘real time’. Therefore, time-consuming office tasks can be replaced with detailed computerised messages to customers and text messages sent to PDAs for engineers all via CASH.
Mr Hargate commented: “Brilliance is our benchmark so this piece of technology will be advantageous in terms of providing a first-class, personal service to each of our customers. It was a database system we chose to invest in, as it will allow the operation of business to be more streamlined.
“Our team can now respond even faster to customer issues and correct their problems effectively. We are a service-driven company that is customer focused and it’s our aim to get it right first time.”
2020 Vision was established in 1992 and its services include CCTV, remote site monitoring and concierge solutions. It is the only company in the United Kingdom that has achieved Level 4 status with the Maxpro System.
