RVR Appointments To Help Installers Grow Sales |

Remote Video Response, the Gloucester-based CCTV remote monitoring business, is demonstrating its commitment to helping installers increase sales and find additional revenue streams with the appointment of Steve Grundy as Business Development Manager.
As well as working with existing customers, Steve’s task will be to work with installers who are yet to realise the advantages of remote monitoring, and how it can add real value to their business. As Steve says: “There are still some installers who have a very limited knowledge of what RVR can really do. They think that when an alarm goes off, we just have a look and that’s it.
“Some don’t understand the ability to which a remote monitored solution can now be tailored to a client’s individual need; they don’t appreciate how it can be used either as a stand-alone tool or in support of manned guarding or lone workers – giving them greater protection (now a mandatory requirement) and making them more effective. My role is to get these benefits across to installers, to help them sell CCTV monitoring to their customers armed with a thorough comprehension of what it can achieve, and in doing so grow their own businesses accordingly. Everyone wins.”
Steve has been working in the security industry since 1988 for such names as Modern Alarms, Security Express, and more recently Wright Security. He has experience of all areas of the business, including installation, service and sales. He enjoyed a brief period outside of the industry working for Harry Dalby Engineering, providing paint spray booths to the automotive and aerospace industries that gave him exposure to running major accounts.
As well as Steve, RVR has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Will Pateman as a dedicated Account Manager. Will has been with the business for the last two years in Operations, and has a sound technical competence, notably in access control, learned whilst with All Cooper Security, Protection One and ADT.
