Sentry Technology Corporation announced today the installation of its SentryVision(R) SmartTrack traveling CCTV systems in a U.S. distribution center of one of the world's largest logistics companies providing products and services to the information technology industry
The SmartTrack system uses patented technology to transmit video images from two pan, tilt and zoom cameras traveling along an aluminum rail mounted on the ceiling. The camera carriage travels at speeds of up to 13 feet per second and provides unobstructed views of people and goods moving throughout the facility. The operator is able to monitor both security threats and operational issues occurring in this 600,000 square foot building.
"We are pleased to add another large multinational SmartTrack customer," said Peter L. Murdoch, President and CEO of Sentry Technology Corporation. "SmartTrack has been effectively integrated into the user's video security system and we anticipate that this first successful installation will lead to many more."
Sentry Technology Corporation designs, manufactures, sells and installs a complete line of Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Magnetic (EM) EAS systems and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) solutions. The CCTV product line features SentryVision(R) SmartTrack, a proprietary, patented traveling Surveillance System. The Company's products are used by retailers to deter shoplifting and internal theft and by industrial and institutional customers to protect assets and people. The Company's acquisition of ID Systems expands the Company's product offering to include proximity Access Control and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) solutions.
