Rhino Doors of Port Talbot in South Wales is set to revolutionise the security door industry with the most innovative products ever made thanks to leading-edge technology from the MoD
The Rhino Door goes a little further than the average security door. It's blast proof, ballistic proof, can withstand the highest velocity rifles and vehicle attacks imaginable, it can alert security should premises be subject to physical attack, mechanical force or physical heat, and to top it all - it can "listen in" to an intruder's conversation.

Paul Adams, a manager of the MoD's Defence Diversification Agency (DDA) in Wales established a relationship between Rhino Doors and QinetiQ, the specialist defence and security technology company.

Iori Davies, one of Rhino Doors' directors said: "By bringing together the years of experience, knowledge and bright ideas of Rhino engineers and scientists at the MoD, we've added a number of novel defence technologies to our existing product to make it the most exceptional  door on the market."

Davies continued: "What is so special, is that customers can now select the elements they need, so it's tailor-made - like a pick and mix.  Our client then gets the level of security they need and it's completely cost-effective."

Paul Adams, the DDA's man in Wales said: "The Rhino-QinetiQ relationship is an excellent example of the important role the DDA plays in helping local Welsh businesses exploit their technology and innovation.  We have also used our networking capabilities to bring together the people and organisations whom we know can help each other out."

Davies is delighted with Rhino's relationship with the DDA: "The DDA has enabled us to tap into a client base of defence-related contacts.  We would not have been able to do this without their help.  The expertise and credibility of the DDA made it very easy for us to open doors with potential new business partners, and they are a resource we would definitely recommend to other businesses in the area."
