POLICE in March are appealing for information after a unique pony trap was stolen during a burglary in the town two weeks ago.
The 'Maltese' trap was stolen by thieves who broke into a shed in West End, March, between 1pm and 2pm on Saturday (March 4). The trap, which was handbuilt, is about 15-years-old and described as gold with red stripes. It also has BMX tyres on the wheels and is worth about £500. PC Shelly Bidwell, who is investigating the theft, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who may have any information about this burglary. "I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen this trap for sale since it was stolen. It is an unusual peice and is of sentimental value to the owner. If you think you may have information that could help our inquiries, please call." Anyone with information should contact PC Bidwell at March Police Station on 0845 456 456 4, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
