The Securitas Group has its origins in Sweden where the Company was founded in 1934 by Erik Philip-S?rensen.
The Company quickly expanded due to a number of acquisitions of other security companies in Sweden. In 1972 all companies were gathered under the name Securitas and the company?s logotype was becoming a known symbol nationally and internationally.
In the 1980?s Securitas was sold and divided into 2 parts. The international operations became today?s Group4Falck while the Swedish Operation became Securitas Group.
In the 1990?s Securitas Group started an international expansion in Europe and in the USA, which has led to the position as the world market leader.
Today Securitas has over 200,000 employees worldwide. We operate primarily in the US and the European markets which is 75% of the world security market. The company is also established in Canada, Mexico and Argentina. In total Securitas have operations in over 20 countries.
In the UK, Securitas was founded in 1996 through the acquisition of Security Express Armaguard Ltd. Since then the Company has become a sound and successful business, with a leading position in the UK
