The TPXi is a new, state-of-the-art portable x-ray unit designed specifically for bomb and threat detection. Amongst its many advantages are that it produces easily the clearest-in-class images of any comparable system world-wide.
The unit’s crisp and detailed x-ray image shows the inside of suspect packages with unprecedented clarity, making it a far more effective and easy-to-use tool than ever before. Also, as a direct result, packages where the operator was previously unsure had to be considered as potential bombs, but can now be safely identified - resulting in far fewer false identifications along with the resulting controlled explosions and disruption. This is especially important when dealing with possible bio-threats, where a controlled explosion could be disastrous.
TPXi’s large area detector is just 5cm thick and so can slip into a narrow gap behind suspect packages. The entire system is remarkably light with the x-ray generator and the detector panel weighing less that 7Kg each.
The new units use Bluetooth and WiFi communications so the operator can retire to a safe location and both operate the system and see the results remotely. The unit is ideal for military, police, customs and security applications
