BPT Entry Control Solutions - a specialist in door entry, access control and gate automation - has launched the ETI300 unit designed to transfer video and audio over IP.
Suitable for use in all BPT System 300 door entry systems, the ETI300 is particularly appropriate for apartment blocks that are remote from the concierge. Up until now, transferring video over distances greater than 800m has not been possible. Using the ETI300 from BPT overcomes this by using the existing network infrastructure of a building. The ETI300 simply connects via RJ45 to any LAN (Local Area Network) or WAN (Wide Area Network), to transfer video and audio over the Ethernet. Now there is no limit to distance and the picture quality remains excellent.
The ETI300 makes a number of configurations possible and highly cost-effective, such as multiple sites to a single switchboard, multiple entrances and / or multiple cameras and allows for remote entrances to be connected either directly into a monitor handset or to a switchboard or both. It is also ideal for out of hours remote responses.
